John Conrad is the Executive Vice President and Corporate Secretary, for the Illinois Biotechnology Innovation Organization (iBIO) and the iBIO Institute. At iBIO John is responsible for community outreach and engagement, working with community partners on special projects and programs to increase community connections and resources. John is also responsible for the day-to-day operations and annual strategy and budget oversight.
John started at iBIO over 12 years ago, shortly after the new formation of iBIO, and has helped build the organization into one of the top state BIO associations. He has been the community lead for 2 BIO conventions in Chicago, developed and released the 2013 “Economic Engine of Biotechnology in Illinois”, and managing editor of the BIOLOGICALQUARTERLY.
John has an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago with a focus on Strategy, and an B.A. from Indiana University. John is passionate about the life sciences community; his mission is to build the connections and resources the community needs to catalyze growth
